lion
Recently I've been drinking Jamun juice, but wanted to find the fruit. Has anyone found it being sold in the area?
goodeats
This may sounds silly, but where did you buy the juice? Maybe they have leads? My google search yielded South Asian (I'm not familiar) but do Indian stores carry it? Or maybe the larger Super H's and whatnots? Just pondering. lperry
If you do a Google "shopping" search on Jamun fruit, a few mail-order companies come up.
lion
Yes, I googled it before posting, was just hoping one of the other Korean or Chinese grocery stores might carry it or that someone would have experience with it here locally. I buy the juice at Indian grocery stores and haven't seen it at any of the stores. Was looking to drink it without the added sugar especially if I ended up experimenting with alcohol. It's quite tasty especially in the summer heat. Highly recommend!
lion
If you type in 'shopping jamun fruit' just in google search, this thread comes up at the first result.
lperry
Whoops. That's probably my fault. Did you look at the actual "Shopping" link results? I was hoping that I might be able to live vicariously through you if you joined the "Exotic Fruit of the Month" club.

Try and find the juice, it's worth the effort especially cold.
goodeats
*sigh* I saw gulub jamun in cans at the Spice Bazaar in Sterling last night (also say Masala-flavored Lay's potato chips there), but no actual juice or fruit. When I asked the owner he thought Grand Mart might have some.
lion
Indo Pak Spices in Herndon sells Jamun Juice. Haven't looked for it at H-mart or Lotte, yet. If you find the fruit at more reasonable prices, please let me know. "Exotic Fruit of the Month" club is a little too expensive to order it from unfortunately.
