Huh. I agree, sunflower seeds are out there for an everything bagel (despite the name). It's been a while since I've had an everything bagel from there but don't recall the seeds back then.

Today, I had an everything bagel at Brooklyn bagel and there was not a single sunflower seed on it.

Thank you all for the kind words. I really enjoyed my time at Ray's. I will always be grateful to Michael for the opportunity he gave me, and his very generous support during my recent cancer treatment, multiple surgeries (12!) and long recuperation time. I am taking this time to relax a little and ponder the next chapter.

Very sad news. 3 was one of my favorite places in NOVA. Brian did an amazing job in kitchen.

They are indeed an appetizer. A squash blossom should be fried as delicately as possible with as light a possible batter IMO.

This was my only visit to the place so far. One of the things I prefer to do when I visit a place for the first time is to see what they do -- normally. Without input from me. They cut the pizza. I prefer it uncut, but I wanted to see what they do. That's all. Next time I will ask if I can get it uncut. My preference is my own, and not to everyone's liking, but (to me) cutting a pizza before I can see it whole and uncut is like ordering a steak out at a steakhouse and having it pre-cut for me. Kind of ridiculous.

When they first opened they wouldn't cut the pizza, if it was ordered to go, but I think they received numerous complaints about not cutting the pizza.

I enjoy everything else on their menu but the pan pizza at Del Ray Pizzeria is dreadful. If they removed a letter from their a.s.s.s. pizza, then it perfectly describes its taste.

On Saturday, Rustico Alexandria posted on their Twitter and Facebook pages: “Come on down, we will be open unless we are blown away, or at least until our power goes out.” When I arrived around 9:15pm I was told they were about to close. Uncool.

If Rustico is using social media to boastful about staying open during the storm, then they also should have used social media to inform people they were closing early.

This is terrible. I'm going to miss Del Merei Grille and Bombay Curry Company.

I never realized they did this - You better believe I'm in for one today around mid afternoon. There's nothing like breakfast for lunch!

The Roast beef and cheddar here is to DIE FOR. It's so good and worth every penny.

I believe breakfast is served until closing time daily, with the exception of Sunday.

Last Saturday I headed to the Del Merei Grille for dinner. When I arrived around 9:20pm the dining room was closed. The bartender reported the kitchen had closed early, so food wasn’t an option in the bar area. Needless to say I left disappointed.

I hope you are able to bring some Pâtés.

I'll be there at 11am.

The sandwiches are consistently good. My two favorites are:

(1) Chipotle Turkey on Ciabatta

(2) The Monty - Freshly roasted beef, cooked medium rare and served warm with mayonnaise and barbeque sauce on a roasted sesame seed roll

I believe the Arlington location was not impacted by the activities at the Wheaton location.

The Arlington location is still open. I stopped by today. The location looked like it was getting by with 1/2 the normal staff size and 1/3 the normal patrons.

This sounds wonderful! I'll be there at 3:59pm on the 1st.
