  1. I'm hoping to be one of the breweries up there, but my inventory is a little limited, I'm smaller than all of those breweries. Also, I don't think I'd be able to bring kegs and I might not be able to bring a full 2 kegs worth. Like I said, I'm small, a 3 barrel brewery. For those of you who don't know, 1 barrel = 2 kegs. I'm still hoping to be a part of this.

  2. I was at the RMP Jan 15*, and one of the owners of the Limerick was havin' a pint at the bar. I was right across from him as I waited for the rest of my party to arrive, as he was talking about who he still needed to hire, etc. Gave a nod on the way out; I'm looking forward to trying it out and having another option in the hood. The facebook page said he was still waiting on permits and electrical work was going to be done the next Friday. Then I saw the bit in the Gazette mentioning they were opening on the 4th, so we'll see if that actually happens or not!

    * I wish I had know at the time that your beer was carried there, as I would have given it a try!

I shot them an e-mail to see about dropping of some samples. Royal Mile already has my beer.

  3. Van Ness seems to be plagued. I remember going to Shanghai Garden as a kid. Last time I was there was about 30 years ago. I remember the pupu platter and though that was such an amusing name. The rest of Van Ness hasn't done much better, restaurants seem to open and close fairly frequently. I guess the old guard is leaving, Yengching Palace went under a while ago. Which one is next? There are better places these days, I can't say that I will miss Shanghai Garden.

  4. I'm looking to expand distribution in Maryland. Currently I just distribute to MoCo, but I really want to get into the rest of MD. I've thought of getting a MD distribution license, but its costly. I'm tiny. Right now we distribute to 9 different stores and restaurants in Montgomery County, not bad for self distribution (or as close to self distribution as you can get in MoCo) I'm currently outselling my current distributor.

  5. When we get pissed off at someone at the brewery, we just draw a picture of a person, put it up on the dart board and well, you get the picture. It's a great way to blow off steam with out the picture looking too much like anyone. We make a game of it, drink some beer. Perhaps Gillian needs to invest in a decent dartboard, you can get one a Target for about $40. We play Cricket on the dart board as well, it's not always about Voodoo darts.

  6. Apparently in Montgomery County you can't make your own sausages in house, or haggis! Royal Mile has haggis on their menu, I was disappointed when it didn't come in a sheep's stomach. But that's the county for you.

  7. I can get them through my supplier, I don't use them at all at the brewery. They are a bit on the expensive side ranging from $18 - $20 depending on what kind of handle it has. You could also try contacting Crosby and Baker
