CrescentFresh
I've had Hennepin and Witte on draft near Watkins Glen, NY, but nowhere in this area. And it's well past time I check out Harris Teeter. Black Sheep Brewery, eh? Thanks for the tip. You can also find them at Whole Foods. Although they're pricier there. I'm sure you can also find them at any other major beverage distribution mart/specialist place. These are the folks who import it. Although I see nothing on CAMRA's website confirming this, Eurobrew notes that Black Sheep Brewery was named CAMRA's 2006 Brewery of the Year. I've been there many times and they are most worthy of the honor. I'm probably personally responsible for drinking .00001% of their annual production.* *This figure was pulled out of the air and is probably complete bullshit. CrescentFresh
Fans of Black Sheep beers from Masham, N. Yorkshire? Holy Grail Ale is pretty common around here, about $3.50/bottle at Harris Teeter. And you can occasionally find Black Sheep Ale. (They may still have it in bottles at Rustico). Once, I think, about 2 years ago I found a bottle of Riggwelter at Rick's in Alexandria. And although I can't drink it, I did find a jar of Riggwelter Mustard today at Cowgirl Creamery. Took about a half a nanosecond to bring it to the cash register.
CrescentFresh
Black Sheep's Riggwelter is just an amazingly perfect, well balanced, dark ale from Yorkshire. I'm finding bottles of it now at Whole Foods in Virginia and word on the street is that Ace Beverage will be getting some shortly. Heavy, with slight coffee notes, it's just a superb brew. Try a bottle. $3.99 for a 500ml retail.
