Arlington's Arrowine in The 2011 Cheesemonger Invitational!

Hello! This is Katie Carter from Arrowine and Afina Handmade Cheese. Just wanted to let you all know about something really cool!!

Arrowine in Arlington is very excited and proud to be competing in this year's Cheesemonger Invitational in New York! The Cheesemonger Invitational in July is the biggest gathering of the year for cheese professionals. Fromagers, cheesemongers, and other cheese lovers will convene at the Larkin cheese warehouse to celebrate cheese and the professionals who support the craft. The night's biggest event will be a competition between the country's top cheesemongers! Wrapping, cutting, displaying, and selling skills will be put to the test in what Larkin describes as, "Iron chef meets American Idol meets Dancing with the Stars FOR CHEESE".

But we need your help! We are the only cheese shop from the DC area in the competition, so we're asking fellow DC area cheese lovers, foodies, food pro's, supporters of small businesses, and just plain cool people to vote for our participating monger, Perry Soulos, as their favorite cheesemonger. Somehow, competitors with the most votes get a leg up.

Is DC a "second tier" food city? Hell no! So let's all get behind Perry and show 'em how we do it!! Go DC!
