Honey Pig Dumpling Stand In The New Lotte

The new Lotte has opened on Rte 40 in Catonsville, and a highlight is a new dumpling stand by the folks who run the Honey Pig barbecue chain.

Huge steamed dumplings -- wang mandu in Korean -- stuffed with chicken, bulgogi, pork and other options. I only got one opening night because they were officially closed when I arrived. Delicious. $2. And pretty unique as far as I'm aware in the area. (This could be a great trend for small restaurants similar to the ramen craze.)

Check out the Lotte. It's another huge Asian grocery running from Korean to Latin to Indian to American. The Indian snack good aisle is worth the trip alone. But definitely start at the Honey Pig stand on the left side of the store.
