Worthwhile DC Tasting Menus According to Zagat

Personally, I've found that if you enter a restaurant and tell your server to "feed me"...most will arise to the occasion and you'll eat well (albeit not cheaply). I've done this from DC to Paris to Amsterdam to Panama City and every time a server has brought food that either isn't on the menu or is a favorite or is just good. Zagat is late to the party and I prefer not to see menus...it's more fun that way.

Zagat's decision to enter into the local blogging game with these constant slideshow listicles is killing any credibility they still had with me.

I think Zagat lost credibility (or at least failed to be useful) years ago. And, now more than a year since they became the bazillionth Google acquisition, they're just doing what many internet/'new media" types are doing: shotgunning every blogging idea known to man with little in the way of original insight.
