Craig Erion Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Ok, I grew up in a very Italian neighborhood in Queens, New york. I miss the cookies, canolies and Italian ices that were the treats of my childhood. I'm talking one of those bakeries that stil have the rounded glass front windows and tiled entryway that has the name of the joint in mosiac on the floor. More specificaly I miss La Gouli's (spelling?) on Ditmars Blvd. at the end of the N train. If you know what I'm talking about great, if not, then let me know what your go-to bakery is. Cookie and canolies are a must Italian ices are a plus. Thanks in Advance, Craig
cocoarisotto Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 You should try Cornucopia in Bethesda on Norfolk Avenue for fantastic cannolli and Italian cookies. Also, Marchone in the Wheaton Triangle has excellent traditional Italian cookies.
