Humidity Controlled Crispers

Recommended Posts

There's a lever on the veggie compartment (which is labelled "Humidity Controlled Crisper") in my fridge that goes from "high" to "low." From what I can tell, putting it on "high" simply allows more of the air from the fridge in. Does anyone know how (and if) these things work?

If I remember correctly the higher setting is for veggies and the lower is for fruit. My fridge does a very good job with keeping fruit and veggies fresh, but you have to see what settings work in your case. The biggest concern is keeping your things from sitting in little pools of water (condensation or being wet from being washed) as this is where rot will start.
