porcupine
Found these at Balducci's the other day. Never heard of 'em before, so of course I had to try 'em. They are small, very round, with thin, pale-yellow skin; the flesh is amost sweet enough of eat. Sweet lime perfectly describes the flavor. Anybody ever use these in anything? Of course the first thing I did with them was make cocktails, and the second will be making ice cream. And maybe a riff on Key lime pie.
lperry
$1.79 a pound at Grand Mart at Seven Corners today. Can you elaborate on the cocktails? Edited to add: spiced pickled sweet limes. Interesting. (Assuming I got the translation correct...)
porcupine
Geez, that was four years ago. And since I stopped drinking cocktails not long after that, I really don't remember. Maybe try inquiring in the Beer and Wine forum?
