For the safety of my employees and friends. We're outta here! Be safe y'all.
-
Thanks y'all. I'll let you know when I find one.

I'm looking for a restaurant that has a blue marlin hanging on the wall. The tackier the better.
Ideas?

I will crush a big bite with "chili" and "cheese". Coke slurpee mixed with cherry, heaven.
And $5 on an easy pick.

Del Ray Pizzeria "Shroomin" pizza. Reconstitued mushrooms do not belong on pizza. Mmmm cardboard.
It's been off the menu for 4 months now.

"Del Ray Pizzeria and Sports Bar is probably good with Eric Reid at the helm."
Thanks Don, a few words.
I don't know shit about pizza, I know that I put 110% into what I do and I'll stand by it. I've never liked the idea of running a "pizzeria", everyone always has an opinion, "this isn't NY style", "I'm from Chicago", "I grew up in Italy, I know what pizza is" blah blah blah. This is my style pizza, I offer thin and pan.
You'll find some of my old dishes from DMG on the menu. It's hard to sell them sometimes. When you go to a "pizzeria" you already know what you're going to order. It's like going to a sushi joint and have them feature fajitas as a special. I'm honored to be listed in this group of what I think are great places.
Either way, everything is fresh and made in house, I have no walkin, no 5 gallon buckets.
Except the desserts, I have no idea how to bake a dessert in a pizza oven.
I'd buy a WaPo tomorrow,
Eric

G+B is absolutely a gem and we're very lucky to have them thriving in Old Town!

What should I have to drink here with my Insane Cock sauce?
Draft Beer: Blue Moon, Budweiser, Coors Light, Killians Red, Miller Lite, Samuel Adams, Shiner Bock, Yuengling
Bottled Beer: Amstel Light, Budweiser, Budweiser Light, Coors Light, Corona, Guinness Stout, Heineken, Michelob, Michelob Ultra Light, Miller Genuine Draft, Molson Ice, O'Doul's, Rolling Rock, Samuel Adams, Smirnoff Green Apple
Wine: Sutter Home Chardonnay, Sutter Home Merlot, Sutter Home White Zinfandel
Molson Ice, haven't had one of those since I was 17.
Great list by the way.

Is that good or bad?
One of the owners is a good friend of mine, so I'm a little biased. I think it's a good thing. Great beer list, decent looking options on the menu, I'll be interested to see how it goes given the location.
And one of my servers from Del Merei is working there.

Looks like a pretty standard American menu -
It's the same group from Ramparts and Shooters

Del Ray Pizzeria is in need of 2-3 full time servers, we also have a front of house manager position available. Please contact Elizabeth - gm.drpizza@gmail.com
Thank you so much.

We inquired about the possibility of gluten-free, or even wheat-free, dough on the horizon.
Thanks for the kind words. It has been fun crafting different pizza creations, something I'm certainly new at. We have had requests for gluten free options, my main concern is that the kitchen is small and we don't have a lot of room to work. Flour is always flying in the air.
At Del Merei we had numerous gluten free menu options and I would like to offer them at the Pizzeria as well. So, what I'm getting at is, will the flour in the air contaminate the gluten free pizza dough? Any suggestions or are ideas are welcome. Thanks.
Eric
We now carry 50 plus beers, couple are gluten free.

May also mean that they need help in the kitchen.
It's still needs some work, this whole pizza thing is entirely new to me. We're working on new dough recipes constantly. I was fortunate enough to bring over most of my staff from DMG, including my sister Bee, who is running the front of the house. The location its self is unbelievable, the actual layout is different, something we're also working on. I look forward to seeing you all.
Thanks again for your years of support at Del Merei.

thank you and goodnight....

In our 5 years, I don't think anybody has taken a "deuce" on the wall. Maybe on the floor or sink or by the dumpster.

Last minute offering. We've sold out the upstairs dining room at DRP but have gained enough interest in the event to move the dinner downstairs. We'll be offering a Tapas style menu paired with 5 different beers. Total is $50, excluding tax and gratuity. Menu here.
If you would like to attend please email me at chef.dmg@gmail.com
Thanks and cheers!
Eric
