  1. August and Herbsaint though the latter doesn't have a formal tasting menu; they were more than happy to help us out crafting one [reckon I should add that we are known there].

Can't go wrong at either but I would recommend hitting all spectrums ranges and price points that y'all can; it's a pretty special place

    Doesn't commander's palace have a tasting menu?

  2. Pèche. By Donald Link. Go. Get the smoked tuna dip, the whole fish, anything's collar, the Royal Red shrimp (bring a crew). Drink the Croatian PoÅ¡ip white wine. Then go the next day.

Anything else new I need to get to? Aint been back in almost 2 years, WAY too long

  3. A lazy afternoon at City Park (snacks from Cochon Butcher encouraged) remains one of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon. The art museum and botanical gardens are nice versions and, my personal favorite, the historic train garden must be seen to be believed .

  4. Not surprising, but it makes me very sad. :(

Along with Riedel's, Coat of Arms, and Indian Ocean, 876 Café is the fourth restaurant to open, then close, at this address since this website was founded on April 15, 2005 - no other address in the DC area that I'm aware of has had four (*) closures in eight years.

(*) Maybe even five, depending on what was there before Riedel's.

Next door to us at Cashion's: Taan (currently and seems like they will survive the curse of 1817 Columbia Rd.), Marrakesh Lounge, Mudbugz, Marrakesh Lounge again, Evolve (greatly missed), Cafe Sofia, Pharoah's (because sometimes you just gotta have some Ancient Egpytian culture to go with your blues), now I'm getting confused, Rocky's might be next
