ol_ironstomach
Somebody gave me a pomegranate the other day, which promptly triggered a craving for fattet bel djaj, the Lebanese dish of layers of pita, chicken, yogurt, and other delights. Except that nowhere amongst the tomes in our vast library of slackitude is a recipe to be found. So - anybody have a good recipe? And a recommendation for a good Lebanese cookbook? mktye
Although I've not made this particular recipe, I've been liking "The Arab Table" by May S. Bsisu for such things. Someone else has copied out the recipe here.
Anna Blume
Also see Arabesque by Claudia Roden. Elie Nassar (former moderator at egullet) has his own food blog and would answer questions there, most likely. Very good home cook w Lebanese roots.
