Member Poll: Date for Rappahanock County Day Trip

In shockingly proactive form, we’re polling everyone to determine the best date for the following event.

EVENT DESCRIPTION: GASTRONOMIQUE TOUR IN THE COUNTRY

The Blue Rock Inn is organizing gastronomique tour to discover the farms, wineries and restaurants of Rappahanock County. The date will be a Sunday in either September or October. Click here to vote for the dates that would work best for your schedule. Just type in your member name, check the boxes for the dates that would work for you, and hit the "Save" button.

10:30am Leaving the DC area by bus

12:30pm Arriving in Sperryville at Central Coffee where we will have a light lunch and coffee tasting of environmentally friendly brews

1:30pm Visit of a farm (probably Sunnyside farm)

3:00pm Tasting at Linden Vineyards

5:00pm Hors d’oeuvres followed by a four course dinner at the Blue Rock inn, created by Chefs Rachel Rowland and Gerard Pangaud

8:00pm Back to DC

Price $150 dollars (inclusive of taxes and gratuity); payment and reservation details to follow once date announced

We are also researching the bus specifics. We'll share that information as part of the final event announcement.

Was this every finalized or confirmed because Farm at Sunnyside doesn't know anything about it.

Thanks for your note, and no, this has not been finalized nor confirmed. The event organizer we were working with identified other priorities (read: got too busy!) so this one is no longer an active idea.

Perhaps I should lock this thread to prevent future confusion...
