Joe H
I bought a two and a half pound container of this which sells for about $7.00 per pound. The ingredient list did not include saffron so I added a tsp or so which I sprinkled over the top. The instructions said to bake it in the oven for 35 or 40 minutes: it was remarkably good! Costco! Who would have thought?
Billy DeLion
Maybe it was the added saffron, I don't know, but I tried it once and not again.
Joe H
Maybe it was the added saffron, I don't know, but I tried it once and not again. $17.00 for paella. $18 for saffron.
Kibbee Nayee
Just had it two days ago. I agree with Joe, it's surprisingly good, and a bargain at the price. Seasonings were on the bland side, but that's easily corrected at home. They did not skimp on the ingredients -- plenty of shrimp, scallops, chicken, sausage -- and Joe's pinch of saffron plus a few other seasonings make for a very nice repast.
