Food, culture, and diplomacy

Having spent many years studying culture, including the role of food in it, I've been interested to see recent articles about Hillary Clinton's initiatives to incorporate cultural preferences into the food prepared for diplomatic events.

The Post has this, which is focused on Mike Isabella. I find that unfortunate, since it will distort what Clinton and her colleagues are trying to do. (I mean the focus and not the involvement of that particular chef.) It seems to be from tomorrow's paper and the comments are already making me clench my teeth.

Several weeks ago I had read this article on the same basic subject in the NYTimes.
