When I was 12 years old, my brother bought me "Laugh Your Ass Off" for my birthday - it had been marked down to $1.99 at Waxie Maxie's. Club Bengasi is now a DC Government building at 1426 U St NW. Warning: This is serious, old-school, U Street comedy, and is raunchy, XXX-rated humor. Warning: Not Safe For Work! Rated XXX! If *very* crude humor doesn't bother you, I defy anyone to listen to the lady laughing starting at 16:27, and not laugh themselves. <--- Click on that at your own risk!

10 things DC Foodies are talking about according to Anna Spiegel via Washingtonian I dunno. There's only that Cool restaurant in Cleveland park that I know of. We's not talking about any of these joints!!! Are we not foodies?! Do we even have a thread? Other than Sietsema being out of his mind for picking this place out, what else is there to talk about? Maybe I'll check out the waterfront joint when it opens. Everyone's opening Mexican joints. I like to know why the sudden explosion of taquerias like overripe zits. I just checked their website. The menu is malfunctioning. Tickler's also doesn't have a menu on its website yet. I dunno how we can talk about these joints when we don't know what they're serving.

Actually, Todd Kliman just did a blog post about that calendar, complete with some pictures. It's pretty hilarious! (Disclosure: I work at washingtonian.com)
