Speaking of reservations, I should make some too. My husband has been craving chef's butter chicken and is making a lot of noise about it.
Hungry Prof - do post about your dinner. Would love to read your comments. THe restaurant really does as great job with its regional curries. I have spend time in the kitchen with Chef Sudhir and he really is one of the best chefs in town.

Passage To India is the best Indian restaurant in the Washington DC area.

Hi folks!
I am meeting someone for lunch at 9th and N -- is there a place there, or close to there, that you would recommend that is good. Something reasonable ...

Welcome to our humble town Mongo and look forward to meeting you in person.
Sadness -- just saw the dates. I will be in sunny Arizona those dates. I guess I am not worthy (not ready) yet of meeting the great one.

Some friends and I had a lovely dinner at GB's tonite. The atmosphere was really nice and the food was quite good. I did not know exactly what to expect... I was expecting very heavy food. I was wrong -- we had some excellent crab cakes and a gentle smoked salmon salad. The cornbread -- someone must have sung to it -- it was superb.
A nice, fun place to visit and easy on the wallet too.. .. (we did not do appetizers/alcohol)

Thanks folks - This is really very helpful. I appreciate it -- I will post here on what I end up doing.. I may even taste some of it

Way to go Don.. congrats -
Another great article Monica! My daughter has been involved with Lanette Doran and her "Flavors for Kids" program for more than two years. I'm just thrilled you got to talk with her and highlight such a terrific program. She has been a great inspiration and roll model for my 10-year old. Thanks for including her in the article!
Thanks Laura - I think that Lanette is doing some really wonderful work and I loved featuring her.
Thanks for you rkind words
