Howdy foodies. This site was recommended to me by a fellow foodie friend.
Just a quick suggestion for my first post.... if you haven't yet been to Birch and Barley on 14th st, near Logan circle in DC, I strongly suggest it. Great beer, and incredibly delicious food that combines interesting ingredients with old favorite dishes. I started with foie gras and then had a flatbread covered with pea paste, sunchokes, shallots, ricotta and lardo (glorified pizza) barely broiled just enough to make the lardo shrink-wrap itself onto the toppings. That was just my starter. The server was extremely knowledgeable and nice. On a scale of $ to $$$$$, it's about a $$$.
