TheMatt
Just saw a blog post about the Kenwood Cooking Chef, a stand mixer that has a built-in induction cooker. In truth, I can't see any reason why I *need* this, but I am a man, so I *WANT* one. Why? Well, it's a stand mixer with a freakin' induction cooker in it! zoramargolis
after viewing that classy video, I'm envisioning one-step zabaglione and Italian meringue, pastry cream and pate a choux. who needs a stove? add in that long list of amazing attachments, and you'd hardly ever need to use any of your other kitchen tools or utensils. all you'd need is to have much more money than any one person deserves to have, in order to be able to afford it. TheMatt
I will say this for Kenwood, they make pretty stand mixers, coffee makers, etc. I still haven't found a price for the Cooking Chef...
hungry prof
I still haven't found a price for the Cooking Chef... This story says it'll run you 1000 pounds when it launches this month in the UK.

Beto
I used to have a Kenwood stereo when I was a teenager. I listened to a lot of Pink Floyd on that thing. Short of cooking things that need lots of stirring such as risotto or grits, I fail to see much practical use for a mixer that also cooks.
