Joe H
In the Wine Spectator Advance for 1/31 this is listed as a 96 point $45 list priced wine. Today I received the actual magazine and it is listed in it for $65. Exact same bottle and vintage and rating. Did a wholesaler decide it should be selling for more after the review? The Chicago Wine Company still has it for sale on futures for $37.50 with a case. Best price I could get locally was Arrowine who were subjected to the "new" wholesale price and a VA distributor with a retail in the high '50's. Seems like there is an issue here for wineshops that isn't being discussed.
deangold
A wine scores a 96 and its price goes up? And you are commenting? What's the line from Casablanca? "I am shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!" --Renault.

I thought the same thing, then noticed the time of the post, and remembered how often I've woken up The Morning After and said to myself, "did I actually think I succeeded in unifying quantum mechanics and general relativity last night?"
