Pat
If you receive email notification of private messages, the text of the message you have received will show up in your inbox. DO NOT reply to the emailed message. That reply will go directly to the membership inbox, which is the return address on the emails. We who have access to the membership inbox do not want to read your private messages . Reply only from your message box here on the forums. Thanks! Pat
Just another reminder about email notifications of private messages ... Even though there is a link within the message, it is best to answer the message from your mailbox on this site if at all possible, for two reasons: 1) it eliminates the possibility of inadvertently sending the reply to the membership inbox; 2) if the person edits the message after sending, you will only see the pre-edited version in your email and might not be replying to the full content of the message. It is possible to reply to the email by clicking on a link at the very bottom of the email notification (below the message that tells you not to reply directly to the email). Clicking that link brings you to your membership inbox (if you are logged in). If you click "reply" on the email notification, you are sending the message to me. I don't want to read your private messages. Thank you
