MMM
A close friend has a cache of Thomas Hardy Ale that her now-deceased husband collected in the '80s and '90s. She wants to get rid of it. Here's her description of what she has: Four-packs in their carrier: 1986 87 88 88 88 89 90 90 90 91 92 92 94 94 94 95 Two Silver Anniversary 1993 three-packs, in special silver packaging. 4 larger bottles (ll.15 oz each) 1996 Any suggestions? jparrott
I imagine Greg Engert at Churchkey/Birch and Barley might like to acquire such a collection.
DrXmus
I'll sacrifice myself and take them off her hands.

This sounds a little bit like Antiques Road Show, but depending their condition and how much effort she wants to put into this, she could probably get over $2,000.00 for these things. Take a look at e-bay. Right now there is a single bottle of 1986 with a bid of $49.99 and 19 hours left in the auction. Check out ratebeer.com or beeradvocate.com and go on their boards. People definitely want those beers and will pay for them. Churchkey though is probably a good idea too, especially if she does not want to get involved with e-bay and strangers on the internet. durwoodx
This thread makes me sad. I am going to break into one of my cellared beer treasures tonight. I don't want to be a now deceased husband that didn't get to drink his good stuff...
