Sthitch
Officials now say their decision to move Taste of DC to Memorial Day weekend from its traditional Columbus Day weekend was a mistake. I guess these people have never been in DC on Memorial day weekend, and noticed all of the motorcycles.
Barbara
Unless the food is upgraded, we won't be going to another one of those. The only attraction in Oct. 2001 was that Shirley Horn sang with her trio. Because of 9/11, it was eeriely uncrowded. But, we have yet to find anything decent to eat (the exception was a booth by Christopher Marks which had real food). The last time we went, the "big deal" restaurant was JORDAN'S I'm not fond of fast-food or so-called "ethnic" food shovelled out of steam tables. Yuk!
