DonRocks Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 I want to write and say Merry Christmas to all of our readers, writers, and moderators who have generously volunteered their time over the years - there have just been too many to name. I've taken so much from this community, and always want to give back to it. For now, what I can do is offer our members some CDs - regular old music CDs, mostly from the mid 80s to the mid 90s. Once I put what I want on storage, I'll have no real need for them anymore (looking back, it's amazing how many thousands of dollars I spent on something that's apparently worthless). It may be a few months before I actually start giving these away, but if anyone is interested, please let me know (assuming multiple people will be interested, please let me know your musical preferences also - I'm figuring I'll end up splitting these up among several people). Honestly, it breaks my heart to give away these CDs that I put so much money and effort into - at the time they came out, around the mid-80s, it seemed like "the ultimate technology that would be around forever - but I'm continually trying to downsize, and I'd rather these go to my friends than to a library or to Goodwill. If anyone has any other ideas, please feel free to write me as well, but the time has come for all this music to have a second home. Cheers, Rocks PS - I also have a rack (which looks something like this), it's just a simple black metal tower which holds 50-75 CDs that would be a fine space-saver for someone living in tight quarters - I'll be glad to give it to someone who needs it.
DanielK Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 Recycle the cases and put the discs in these.
