I love the effortless way these two sing this song, and how beautifully their voices blend. The message is timely, too. Peace on earth.

Crosby sung this very unselfishly - he let Bowie (who is a falsetto) have the melody during the verses while he (Crosby, a natural baritone) sang more softly in the harmony (this is as it should be). When the refrains occurred, the two singers equaled out.

I didn't realize "Peace on Earth" was written specifically for this performance.

I like that Bowie agreed to go on Crosby's show because his mother liked Bing.
