Or popcorn at least! Serious question: If "milling" is the process of making flour, is "flour mill" a redundant term? Is the term "windmill," for example, just a derivation of the original meaning? Next question: What, exactly, is flour? Please don't say "milled grains." BTW, Kansas State University offers a degree in Milling Science.
Bart Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 I always thought milling equaled grinding. So a windmill is something that grinds using wind power. My theory falls apart with textile mill and sawmill
