made Smitten Kitchen's irish soda bread scones this morning for coworkers. they didn't look anything like the pictures - maybe because I forgot to form the scone wedge into a round. tasted best warm.

Does Garner still have tomato seconds?

The USDA seems very insistent about adding lemon juice to tomato sauce prior to canning (hot water bath). Is this necessary? It seems like it would compromise the flavor.
