"If you don't get me now, " "then yer never gonna get it.."

wow! I like the mocking capital "N". Hilarious.
I've actually seen it tattooed over before, doesn't usually take, and it looks really painful
-
brings to mind..

Tattoos mean different things to different people and certainly shouldn't be subjected to scrutiny from anyone but the bearer. This thread consists of generalizations and stereotyping . You show your shallowNess when you discuss.

Hey there,
I am sorry to say that my latest attempt at opening a pizzeria has failed. The $ just isn't there.
Not only is this embarrassing for me, it leaves me jobless..
So, I am looking for a new job. Hopefully an enjoyable one, perhaps even involving a wood burning pizza oven, but any enjoyable job will do.
I have over 20 years kitchen experience that has included just about every conceivable kitchen position- including consultant and executive chef.
If you have any leads or suggestions, please drop me a line.
Thanks,
-Edan

Brunch is a bad word..

Hey all,
Just wanted to give a quick shout that there is a Street Party from 1 to 7 on July 21. It's coming from local farms, Think Local First DC, and some restaurants, including Local 16.
A couple of pizza guys and I will be out on the street making veggie pizze with Whipple Farms produce. Gonna bake them in a Marra Forni, wood burner.
Come out if you can.

Really good pho and smoothies. Had really pleasant cheerfull if far from textboosak. Cute spoons. Old man and ehind the countdr is proud to say no msg, brothis made from beef bones and tastes like it. Fresh comforting vibrant flavors. Will be going back for the coming soon expanded menu. Bit pricey. Its good if yer patient and generally in a good spirit

First i would like to say fuck brunch. However we have a great deal for face book fans. 18 bux. I work every brunch until july. Firsr. People will be imbibing and having a good time ..large parties don't upset us..20 no prob, 40 is a bit much. Make a reso! Anx cut us some slack, the kitchen is tiny and the place gets packed..typing on my phone. It is stupid

I'll cook if for you at Local 16. Got the caja..

Napolitans eat soggy, soupy, pizza. Not always, but more often than not, (a Neapolitan friend described them in bad English as, "wet"). However, this is not THE defining characteristic of Napolitan pizze, and nice firm pies can be found in Napoli.
It's a matter of taste I guess..

I was using this stuff at some place I worked at in Falls Church. In my opinion some of the best cured and fermented meat products not only in the region, but in the USA. I'm excited about this..Now to find some time to actually get to the shop.
-
Still my source for dining dirt, although sometimes we take ourselves a little too much..
-
I recommend local 16. That's where I'll be tonight.
-
If you don't want the job, but know someone that might, refer them to me, please.

Still hiring line cooks for Local 16. Great money for the right person. Better $ if you can read and speak English. Fun place to work.
PM here or apply in person Monday through Friday, between 3pm and 5pm. Ask for Edan

Your opinion in these kinds of lists is irrelevant. If you want to boost your favorite places (food, doggy daycare, whatever..) vote with your wallet, and support them.

Hi. I want to hire some back of house staff as soon as possible. Kitchen manager, line cooks, prep cook. Some experience required, spanish and english speaking a plus. Shot me a message here to schedule an interview.
Thanks

There's always Local 16. Foods pretty good, and it's inexpensive..
That's where I'll be spending Saturday night..but then again, I work there
-
Facebook fans of Local 16 get one menu item, (including pizza), and unlimited bloody mary or mimosa for $15. Not formal. Saturday and Sunday, 11am-4pm.
