Salmonella Outbreak Linked to Ground Turkey

Thanks so much for posting this! Our nanny was going to fix the kids turkey meatballs from some frozen ground turkey today.

Does not the act of cooking the turkey thoroughly kill the salmonella? I do not think you need to throw it away, as your post implies.

Should be no problem if cooked past 165 degrees, but I understand using an abundance of caution with kids.
