Mark Harmon (1951-), Television and Film Actor Best Known for St. Elsewhere, NCIS, and as People's 1986 "Sexiest Man Alive"

Everyone knows what Mark Harmon looks like - he's now perhaps best known for his role as NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs in NBC's "NCIS."

I stumbled across a couple of interesting things about him:

His father was 1940 Heisman Trophy Winner Tom Harmon, who was also named the 1940 AP Athlete of the Year.

Also, here's an early appearance of him in a 1975 episode of "Adam-12."
