A delayed note. I had some lunch brought in from Chix and was fairly impressed. I had the chix chicken which is seasoned with a secret blend of spices (so says the menu). I found it flavorful and tender. I only ate the dark meat, but my work partner had the breast and say they were juicy. The meat was seasoned well. I had black beans and rice on the side. They were decent, not wowed off my feet , but decent. I would recommned stopping in and supporting them. The food is good and the mission better. http://www.chixdc.com

Surprisingly, Chicken Out has reopened in McLean - in the former Marvelous Market space. Although the paper signage is still the same, this appears to be the only location which leads me to believe that it might have been sold (although that's just a guess). There were balloons up today, and they appeared to be having a great opening.

Something that popped into my head...we've argued the merits of various Pho and dim sum joints around town, but has anybody undertaken a "pollo poll" of the numerous Latin American chicken roasters that have sprung up in the past 15-20 years? I'm thinking specifically about the clusters around Arlington (Pollo Rico, Crisp & Juicy, etc) and Langley Park. Are there other notables? --- [The following posts have been split into separate threads: Kenny's Chicken (Pool Boy) Pio-Pio (The Hersch)]
