Lupo remains our all around favorite and a dinner there this week confirmed it. Pasta now made all in house and it shows. Try the lobster bucatini; pasta is half price on Wednesday so $13 for this tasty dish. Unfortunately, the wine list while broad has crept up in price so I stuck to beer. I need to get back to Henlopen, last couple of visits I enjoyed the oysters but wasn't particularly impressed otherwise. I like Salt Air. The best crab cake in the immediate area resides at Woodys in Dewey. Typical DB loud bar so always carryout for moi. $29 for two large cakes with basically no filler and two sides.

If I'm in town, would like to finally meet Don-will bring wine! I've always known Sergio's son as Luigi.

We really enjoyed this intimate experience for a birthday celebration a couple of years ago. Will you allow corkage?

I can still taste the truffles!

Add Here's to Life with stunning arrangements by Johnny Mandel. A perfect play for today's heat.

The singer in residence in that "divey live music bar" was Shirley Horn and if you don't know who she is, she was one of the finest jazz and blues singers who ever came out of the DC area. Completely unappreciated while alive and now almost forgotten, I'd suggest you get one of her albums (You Won't Forget Me or Close Enough For Love come to mind) and give it a listen. Pardon the digression but I was friends with the lady and I'd hate to see her legacy die.
Her live album from the Monterey jazz fest is also excellent. Truly a great artist.

Hello everyone! I co-own and manage Flight Wine Bar in Chinatown with my husband. I grew up in the D.C. metro area but lived in NYC for 8 years. We are excited about the food and beverage movement in DC, and moved back to open the wine bar. I am excited to be part of the forum and look forward to meeting you all!
Welcome! We'll try and stop in at some point.

RSM changed ownership recently and I haven't been in there since to check it out. RSM had good seafood but priced at the top end of the spectrum.

There are several fish markets along Route 1 in Rehoboth. I grilled some delicious Mexican grouper from Big Fish Market this past weekend. Best deal might be the seafood at Giant-the guy knows his fish.

PT Barnum is following this auction closely looking for new disciples.

This is a yawner for me in general. One point that should be noted; Michelin comes back several times before assigning a rating and service is a big part of the rating. I don't disagree but servers in Europe in many cases choose this as a career, much less so in the US.

Sadly, all those wonderful wines I mentioned years ago no longer reside in my cellar. I haven't seen Andy in years, he's probably retired by now.

It's tonight at the National Building Museum and we're attending. Will any other Rockwellians be present?

Second Los Barrios-one of my consistent favorites in SA. The town is booming food wise. Why TS lauded Houston over SA is a mystery. After all, the CIA has a branch in SA not Houston.

Stone crab season is over tomorrow. Tonight is the last night one can dine on "all you can eat" stoners at Trulucks. A side and soup or salad is included though why fill up on these items if you're there for stone crabs??

I was at Boltons last week and tried the least hot version and it was quite hot but edible. Not something I would eat all the time but worth trying.

When was this? A snowstorm? A buyout? A plumbing problem? A DC government shutdown?
Let me clarify. My wife walked into the restaurant and was told they were closed-no reason given. She was told I had been called, I don't remember receiving a call but it may have happened as it was one of those days.
