Drove by Joe's today and noticed their signage was down. Visited their Facebook page and found this:

Since 1978, we have been dedicated to providing a family oriented Italian restaurant experience to our beloved customers in Arlington and beyond. With that, we have decided to make it even better by partnering with our cousin, Joe Farruggio, owner and founder of il Canale in Georgetown, to bring his world renowned Neapolitan Pizza and Italian cuisine to Joe's Place in Arlington. il Canale has been ranked in the "Top 70 restaurants with Pizzeria" in the world.
We are excited to update you on the menu changes and our new chef from Italy in the coming weeks and look forward to your feedback

I haven't used cash since March. The smallest bill I have is $20. How do I tip hotel housekeeping?
You go to the front desk and have them convert your $20 bills into $5 bills. Do it one $20 at a time. I have never had a hotel refuse the exchange.

I saw people at 3 tables yesterday. Not sure if they were prospective employees talking to managers or it was a soft open. Didn't have time to stop. I am moving from Arlington to Deale MD and the move is keeping me busy.
Going back soon to see if they are open.
The pop-up on the Bob and Edith's website says North Arlington Opens 8/31 7a-10p.

I'm sure restaurants are challenged in the current environment to offer steep discounts given the lack of volume to make up for reduced prices. That being said, one of Clyde's DC Restaurant Week 'deals' is a 6oz filet mignon (menu price $31.99), salad (menu price $9.99) and peach cobbler (menu price $8.99)... all for $55.
Same set ups as the individual menu listing: 31.99+9.99+8.99=$50.97, so you're paying $4.03 MORE by ordering restaurant week. I'm not sure that's what RAMW had in mind... (ordering the double crab cake RW instead saves you $0.97)
Maybe they are making up for it with smaller portions.

In case you are still not ready to eat inside be advised that Rye Street Tavern has erected a huge tent on the grass between the restaurant and the water complete with flooring. Plenty of room for tables that were placed much further apart than the recommended 6 feet. Open for dinner and brunch and they also have live acoustic music every Wednesday and Saturday night from 5-8PM. The food is good as ever and worth the drive from DC.

To summarize my long-windedness...….I think this article sucks and it just proves that no good deed goes unpunished.
Does this behavior occur at your workplace?

Got a speeding ticket from a camera in the tunnel under Washington Circle. I was doing 37 in a 25 MPH zone, fine is $100. The thing is, I think I've driven under there a few more times probably at the same speed since then. I used to go home by heading west on K St. and then turning south on 19th St (to get on 66)., but I noticed that no left turns are allowed anymore at K and 19th, hence I have to drive under Washington Circle and subject myself to grand larceny by the District. When did they disallow the left hand turn at K&19th? I wonder if they did that to increase revenue.
Speed trap goes in both directions there.
