Dining near the Downtown J W Marriott

I'm having drinks and a light dinner with a good friend from high school on Sunday. She's staying at the JW Marriott. Good wine and good food are key but the most important factor is someplace not too loud!

Cafe du Parc? Central? Is there someplace at the W that isn't too loud? (My experience at the W in Atlanta, while terrific, doesn't give me much hope.) Some place I haven't thought of? I'd like us to be able to walk where ever we end up.

If you can sit outside at Cafe du Parc you're in for a lovely day. Tomorrow's weather should be stellar for that. Try not to sit too close to the street, though, buses and cars can get loud.

I agree w/ cafe du parc. Also nearby, Chef Geoffs has a nice wine list by the glass and you could stick to apps to keep it light.

Thanks! We ended up at Chef Geoff's which was very empty and they sat us away from the tvs so we could talk.

(The gazpacho was inedible but the caesar salad and the scallops were quite good.)
