MichaelG
Hello, My little old italian mamma is coming to town for her birthday and is nostalgic for a millefoglie. Anybody know any good italian bakeries that could provide said dessert, hopefully in either Montgomery Cty or DC? About the only thing I've found italian is Vaccaro's. Anything else in the area? Anything in Baltimore so tasty as to warrant the trip? Thanks! Michael
slarochelle
Isn't there an Italian bakery in Wheaton? Wheaton-triangle area? Or is it an Italian deli? Even if so, maybe they can point you in the right direction? A French bakery might have it as well.
MC Horoscope
The Italian deli in the Wheaton Triangle is Marchones. They sell cookies too but I don't think they make them in-house, and I have never seen other desserts there. You might try calling Marchones for information. Don Phillipo is very nice. Anna Blume
See my post here about sfogliatelle and ensuing discussion. Web site: Chris' Marketplace to see if his Italian pastry-chef friend is still taking orders.
ol_ironstomach
I've also seen sfogliatelle irregularly at Cornucopia, in Bethesda, but I don't know who supplies them.
zoramargolis
I've also seen sfogliatelle irregularly at Cornucopia, in Bethesda, but I don't know who supplies them. I remember being told that his pastries come from a bakery in Baltimore, but I can't recall the name.
