Choirgirl21
I'm hopefully meeting a friend who's in town for brunch Sunday morning, probably around 10. She's staying at the Hyatt near the Convention Center and flying out of National at 2 pm. A place by her hotel would be easiest, and I think they would need to take rez since she's got to get to the airport. Any suggestions?

Matchbox in Chinatown has a decent brunch (and huge portions) and opens at 10:00am. Not sure if they do reservations for brunch, but the one time I went it was fairly empty for a while and we got there right at 10:00am.

Not too far, open early, and takes reservations. Poste would also be an option.

The Hersch
Cafe Atlantico Neuvo Latino Brunch. While Café Atlantico might be a very good choice, they don't open till 11:30.
Choirgirl21
Thanks for the recs. We ended up at Matchbox. I got there about 2 minutes before they unlocked the door and had no problem getting a table for what ended up being 4. The place was packed with a line when we left 2 hours later though. Although I have a hard time conceiving of a meal as "brunch" if it takes place too early to have a drink.
