DonRocks
John Oliver on the absurdity of the NCAA. The first two minutes of the video are well-worth watching just to see, "Werner, the official ladder of the NCAA Basketball Championships." Whether you agree or not, this is 25 minutes well-spent. Man, this issue can run the entire spectrum between between pure capitalism and pure communism (with plenty of corruption and greed at every turn). Do fencing players deserve the same as football players? Yes? But their sports don't generate any revenue - isn't that like saying a social worker should make the same as an attorney? Which one does more for society? How do you define which one does more for society? Who *cares* which one does more for society?
darkstar965
John Oliver on the absurdity of the NCAA. Best piece Oliver has ever done...hands down. "Soybean Wind" "Wanna stadium across from your stadium? How 'bout a rocket?" Great, great stuff. Thanks for sharing, Al Dente. Had missed this. The first two minutes of the video are well-worth watching just to see, "Werner, the official ladder of the NCAA Basketball Championships." ... No way. The best parts all come after Werner. Either Oliver or Tina Fey has to replace Stewart. It can't really work any other way.
lovehockey
If you want pure playing for the game in every sport, look to Navy, Army, and Air Force. If the Coast Guard and Merchant Marine Academies don't qualify, here they are in this thread.
