You missed the follow up song to "Last Train to Clarksville" where the singer discovers that the train crashed, killing all aboard.  Apparently, some girl had said she was in a rush to get there so the engineer "stepped on it".  Didn't sell much.

eta: of course, there's also the Neil Young repetoire, including "Needle and the Damage Done", "Ohio" and especially "Down By the River".

One of the most notable things about Wayne Cochran, other than his hair, is that Last Kiss hit #2 and then hit #2 AGAIN 37 years later as a Pearl Jam cover.

Who am I kidding, his hair is absolutely the most notable thing about him.
