Bread Mold:

Four english muffins remain in the pack. The one with mold was facing outside, toward the packing. Are the others safe to eat? Or just the non-adjacent muffins?

If there's mold showing on one, then there's mold on all of them that you just can't see yet. I'd pitch them all.

English muffins mold very quickly. I split them and store them in the freezer.

I generally find that when it looks like the other ones don't have mold, closer inspection makes me not so sure. I throw them all out.

I researched this and came up with this article on the USDA website, "Molds on Food -- Are They Dangerous?"

The answer is yes, they are dangerous, and moldy bread should be discarded. When you can see mold on the exterior, there is hidden mold on the interior. Lots of info on other foods, as well.
