Heading to NY in November with my wife to see Kinky Boots. I am pretty sure we want to eat in the 530 time frame for an 8pm show as opposed to eating later then 10pm. Esca comes to mind as close by to both the show and our hotel. Any other recommendations would be appreciated before I jump on reservation next week (30 days in advance). I've ruled out Craft and Grammercy Tavern as we really want to be in walking distance and close by show if possible. Recs for Sunday Brunch would be great as well. We'll probably walk the Highline and willing to go fairly far for a good brunch.

Amigos, My parents are visiting this weekend and we are looking for somewhere to go Saturday night. They are in their 70s, and my father gets tired easily due to an illness. That said, they are boisterous and fun-loving, but not too adventurous in terms of food. Also, while we don't want to eat in a mausoleum, I think it best to go someplace not too loud. Somewhere like Le Diplomate, early, would have been great, but they are booked. Was also considering Red Hen around 6:30, but worried we will have to wait for an eternity (any recent thoughts on the waits there?). I was able to snag a 7:15 at Chez Billy Petworth, and an 8 at DCGB (don't worry, I will cancel one or both by lunchtime). Any other thoughts/suggestions?? Somewhere like the grill room is out, as it's probably too formal and expensive.

Need help. Baltimore. 4 people. Dinner. Reservations basically needed, no later that 7:30. We eat everything. Price is not a big issue, but would not want to be astronomical. Ideally has corkage, but no big deal if they don't. Am I out of luck or any suggestions on places to try and call? TIA!

Well, looks like I dropped the ball (work, kids, etc.) in making dinner reservations for our anniversary, which is actually today (11/6) but unable to do dinner tonight. Looking for someplace that we can walk into tomorrow night probably around 8 and somewhere not to far from Bethesda. We don't mind sitting at the bar as long as we don;t have a bunch of people hovering over us. Wife is not a big fan of Italian food. Drawing a blank right now. How is the bar area at Rasika-West End?

Contemplating a quick overnight trip to NYC to celebrate my birthday mid-January. I did this once before and enjoyed an amazing multi-course lunch at Le Berdardin and another great meal at Momofuku Ssam the following day. Specifically looking for a new place for dinner on a Saturday night, moderately priced (i.e. not Per Se or even Le Bernardin prices, but doesn't have to be cheap). Something with a focus on locally sourced food. Aside from that and price, not many constraints (although I'd probably prefer to not do Italian since I try not to eat much in the way of grains). Also would love suggestions for the rest of the trip. Maybe a quick, lighter bite on Saturday and a lunch place on Sunday or vice versa (also trying to work in a showing of Constellations, but haven't figured out the best schedule for all of this yet!). Thanks!
