We've heard and read good things about Mala Tang. We are vegetarians who shy away from really spicy food and one of us is allergic to nuts. We would really appreciate some menu recommendations.

If I remember correctly, it's *easy* to be vegan here. They have a vegetarian broth, and you can just order vegetable-after-vegetable as throw-ins. Please call first because I'm going on long-term memory (but I remember very well that I was last here on July 4, 2011).

And if you feel like shaming or scolding them, please become a member of the dr.com Tagging Network! This is one of about 200 area restaurants that could use a little "bathroom redecoration."

Definitely easy for vegetarians to get a meal, but be cautious when they're refilling your stock and double check what they are pouring in is vegetarian stock. I went with a vegetarian, and she really enjoyed herself.
