B.A.R.
Although I disagree with PJ Clarks, and I have not been to Bar Pilar in years so cannot judge its relative hotness (maybe too hot for me?), this is a good list.
FunnyJohn
List pretty DC-centric [congrats to Scot Harlan though]

I agree the list is a good one overall. It was fun to see Nellie's voted as "Neighborhood Gathering Place"--the food there is nothing special, at least last time I ate there, but a gay sports bar is the sort of counterintuitive choice that makes perfect sense here. Rhone1998
Although I disagree with PJ Clarks, and I have not been to Bar Pilar in years so cannot judge its relative hotness (maybe too hot for me?), this is a good list. When it's on its game, Bar Pilar is a terrific bar for food and I love eating there. But, while I'm probably the least qualified person in the world to judge whether a place is "hot", that seems a strange designation to me. Even in that immediate area I'm seeing the crowds swell into Standard and Masa 14 (very different crowds) much more than Bar Pilar.
