Jacques Gastreaux
Yahoo launched a new Food site today. Sort of looks like a Foodnetwork.com copy.

bilrus
I like this one from the Restaurants and Cooks page: Fast Times with Ferran AdriSpain's Ferran Adri likes to play with liquid nitrogen and calcium chloride. He fashions paella out of Rice Krispies, entraps quail eggs....
Jacques Gastreaux
I don't know how their restaurant review system works. They list a place called "Harry's" (which I initially thought might be part of the Sam & Harry's regime) which is in the Hotel Harrington. They give it 4 1/2 stars out of five. It appears to be based on user reviews. Just as useful as the anonymous washingtonpost.com user reviews.

I go to Harry's -- when I want to get bombed on Christmas as a result of my family being crazy and nothing else is open. On that night, and that night alone, it earns its stars. Jacques Gastreaux
If both Subway and Oceanair Seafood Room get the same "star" rating, then their star rating system is useless.

YES!!! And Popeye's. And places that don't even exist, like Kuna.

Typically a website like this goes live (or becomes open to the general public) months after being open to a smaller group of invitation-only users. The smaller beta group of users helps to develop content.

Al Dente
We should all chime in and rate the best joints in town as zero stars. Keep the f*cking riff-raff out. Is there any way to start an "on a whim" thread? Meet you at Arby's for happy hour, Al
