hillvalley
The Oyster Interview took place at Hank's in Alexandria. Reading the interview doesn't do the piece justice. You have to hear this guy talk about the oyster.
MeMc
The Oyster Interview took place at Hank's in Alexandria. Reading the interview doesn't do the peice justice. You have to hear this guy talk about the oyster.I interviewed him for express, too. He was en route to seattle in the ohare airport and was the same way. His book is a fun read. ol_ironstomach
While studying up in preparation for a possible assault on Charleston SC's annual Lowcountry Oyster Festival, I ran across more oyster porn in the form of John McCabe's primer on oyster knives, found on his oysters.us website. Plenty of interesting information and opinion on a site which appears destined to be perpetually unfinished. Next up, to get some practice cracking them open for half-shell slurping. Do we have any hardcore oyster shuckers on this board? Which knife profile do you favor, and why?
leleboo
While studying up in preparation for a possible assault on Charleston SC's annual Lowcountry Oyster Festival I'm in Charleston right now and wondering why my patents don't alert me to such events at other times of the year. Hell, my rehearsal dinner was a lowcountry oyster roast (several years ago). I need to have a standing ticket to Chas... You should enter. I'll ask around about preferred knives while I am here... DonRocks
Reading the interview doesn't do the piece justice. It's pretty scary when you start talking about the justice of the piece. Going to Las Vegas anytime soon, hillvalley?

Back then I was thinking about it......although we never did make it because of shucking oysters.
