Okay, you want a gift for the guy who has *everything*? Go to itchthatbitch.com and order the "Heavy Duty Silver Fingers" back scratcher ($34.95) - I searched high and low for what I felt was *the best* back scratcher in the world, and now that I've had this monster for about a month, I can safely say: even if you spent a million dollars, you couldn't get a better back scratcher. Forget "telescopic" back scratchers - that's a needless gimmick (an unnecessary moving part), and all of the review websites for them take you straight to Amazon. Itchthatbitch back scratchers are handmade, one-at-a-time, by Bill Grant in Colorado. He is supremely confident that his products are the finest in the world, and I believe him - I'd give my "Heavy Duty Silver Fingers" model a 10-out-of-10, and I'll have this thing for the rest of my life - this is the one you want. It's even slightly bent and flexible (like a suspension bridge) to make it easy to reach every contour of your back. This beast even comes with its own dog tag and individual serial number - this is a lot of money, but you're paying an artisan metalsmith for the best-of-the-best. Knowing what I know now, I would *gladly* pay $100 for this - my serial number is #1857, so he's made less than 2,000 of these, total - it's going to be a collector's item one day! As it says in the FAQ: The lifetime warranty is restricted to the maximum of your life or mine, whichever comes first. But this scratcher likely will never wear out, so unless you're a granite statue, it doesn't make much difference. It is made to last forever. Have you ever noticed the huge number of "The 10 best ______, or the 5 best______", whether it's for back scratchers or whatever, these click bait lists often take up over half the first two pages of search, and guess what..........if you look closer, virtually every product in the list is linked to, "DRUMROLL sound effect", Amazon. There may be one or two legitimate rating/ranking services, but I haven't found one yet. Really annoying. Back to work so I can hopefully get your scratcher ready for mail tomorrow. Cheers Bill Grant

I grew up reading about Anthony "Jo Jo" Hunter in the Sports pages, watched him win the MVP Award in the 1976 Capital Classic, and then had season tickets to the University of Maryland games, where he was a minor star, but never reached his full potential. Sometime in 2007 - "Set Him Free! - The Jo Jo Hunter Story" by Ryan Thorburn on dcbasketball.com Jan 16, 2013 - "The Comeback" by Dave McKenna on grantland.com Is this true?! If so, why haven't I heard *anything* about it? The only reason I found it is because I was doing some research to start a thread about Hunter. I'm not sure I believe it, because I can't find anything else about it, anywhere. Can anyone verify that Jo Jo Hunter is still with us? I would NOT assume the above link is true, as I cannot find *any* confirmation of it, and the local basketball community would have chimed in. <--- NOT true Notice also that the numeric date on that website says 5/23/2017, but the written date says April 23, 2017 - given that I cannot find anything else about it, this almost looks like one of his friends was playing a joke on him (maybe someone beat him in one-on-one on that date, and was taunting him?) More importantly, note that Hunter was absolutely not born in 1962 - if he played in the 1976 Capital Classic, he was born in the late 1950s: I can promise that he's older than I am, and I was born in 1961.

Hello Rockers, I'm going to Aspen in March for a few days, for the first time. I've heard about the $$$ grub, so if it's going to be expensive, I want it to be worth it. I'm interested in bkfast/lunch/dinner spots, from the easy/reasonable to the fantastic blow-out. Also, some fun apres-ski spots would be appreciated as well. Does anyone have any ideas? I imagine I'd go to a must-go place despite the price, for one night most likely. The others nights I'd hope to be a little more sensible. Thanks everyone. -Rachel

One thing I look forward to in Colorado Springs is better Mexican food than I can find in DC. La Casita is traditionally my go-to place for low-key, casual Mexican (there's one on south 8th st and another on north Nevada...and maybe one more somewhere else [E. Woodmen Rd.]). If you want a more full-service restaurant experience, I also really like Amanda's Fonda on west Colorado near Manitou.
