DanCole42
I need a mid-level priced restaurant for next Friday evening so we can take a party of 8-10 out to bid farewell to my old boss. Our office is around 18th and L. My less-than-enlightened coworkers are thinking Smith & Wollensky. Thoughts?

qwertyy
I've not been lately, but Spezie has been getting excellent buzz lately. And everyone likes Italian!
Keithstg
Mark and Orlando's? Not as far as 15Ria or Nage, I don't think.

Waitman
Tabard Inn. Tabard has the advantage of those funky private and semi-private rooms, depending on the size of your party and room availability. IMHO, Smith and Wollensky is the third-best steakhouse on that block. Terrible steaks both times I was there. I've heard rumors... The Palm is more fun and Sam and Harry's has better food. Sthitch
Mark and Orlando's? I am going to second Mark and Orlando's. The food is very well executed, and the atmosphere is relaxed.
