Tweaked
ummm, how about a little more info...like: price point type of food any dietary issues level of dress is it for a special occasion this will help us make better recommendations!
evilkim
Pricing= not expensive, but moderate is fine... my friend was looking at Brasserie Becks or Blue Duck Tavern but neither panned out. Attire is flexible, they come ready for any occasion. No dietary resitriction to speak of. Any food choice is fine! Mostly we were just looking for a nice place in dc (not RFD or anything) that would be able to accomodate 9 people. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that most restaurants can accommodate your needs, with a phone call in advance, so your one restriction is "near a Metro." You can narrow it down a lot more than this and still find something good - how about specifying the following: 1) Which Metro line, and which general area? 2) Total price per person, including tax, tip, and drinks? 3) American food or ethnic? 4) Importance of good beers? Good wines? 5) Which night of the week, and what time? I can rattle off about thirty places from the Dining Guide that might meet your needs, but I'd rather get some more specifics first. Cheers, Rocks.
evilkim
Sorry for being so vague, it was very last minute and I wasn't even sure who was coming! We ended up going to Becks and had a fabulous dinner. Thanks to Thor and everyone for being so gracious!
