DaRiv18
We organized a birthday dinner at Art and Soul for about 9 people, and reserved a private room, minimum check amount required. Nice and quiet were some of the main strengths of the event, along with the company.
DonRocks
I need to organize a dinner for about 9 people next week after a special event. The keywords are nice and quiet. Bis? How loud is Johnny's? Art and Soul? I don't think they want Sonoma on the House side. Johnny's has private rooms. Bis is essentially in a hotel lobby, and although it can be quiet, I wouldn't be as confident. Same with Art and Soul although DaRiv18 quelled my skepticism. You should write all three, and give them all a chance at your business - I'm sure they'd want it (especially on a weeknight). Have a date, time, party size, and approximate dollar amount in mind when you write, and let them work with what you give them. I haven't checked the dining guide, but off the top of my head, you've picked the right three restaurants to start with. Don't forget Charlie Palmer Steak. bookluvingbabe
Thanks! My guest of honor picked Bis. I'm not attending but I will report back with feedback.

Remember that Joe Harran is cooking at Woodward Table now (does anyone know who the current Chef de Cuisine is at Bistro Bis?)
