edknees Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 I'm looking for suggestions as to where to find a stellar Oyster Po'Boy for lunch in the DuPont-Logan-U Street-Downtown area. I use to go to Johnny's Half Shell for my fix but they are no longer in walking distance. Either is Tackle Box. Hank's is not open for lunch. I've tried Logan Tavern and theirs is okay but not great. Any other ideas?
Heather Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Acadiana. It's the only po'boy in town that doesn't make my NOLA-raised husband complain about the bread.

Don't know if it is stellar but my friend's oyster po-boy at Tabard Inn yesterday looked good, though not authentic (i.e. bread not the same, more a french loaf at Tabard Inn). He said the oysters themselves were awesome.

I don't think it's a sandwich, but Daniel Bortnick is doing a Chicken Fried Oysters & Po' Boy Sauce for lunch at Firefly.
